As a Licensing Specialist, you will provide licensing and appointment support to producers, managers, directors, partners, and carriers. The role provides knowledge and ensures understanding of licensing and appointment requirements and status. Licensing Specialists are required to have in-depth understanding of state compliance rules and guidelines as well as carrier guidelines and requirements.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Makes and maintains a connection with the customer by understanding and meeting their needs.
• Process new and renewal license applications.
• Verifies and advises on continuing education compliance.
• Performs follow-up when there is a non-compliance issue.
• Audits vendor for proper licenses.
• Follow up on additional requests from the DOI to ensure license issuance.
• Provide direction to licensee to update resident, business, mailing and e-mail addresses.
• Assist in formulation of policies and procedures (licensing guidelines) and editing of policies.
• Participate in industry licensing group through SILA to stay updated on industry changes.

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE:

• High school diploma or GED required
• Bachelor's Degree (preferred)
• 0-2 years experience (preferred)
• In lieu of the above education requirements, an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
• Requires high degree of attention to detail.
• Exceptional ability to multitask.
• Demonstrate and practice strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Demonstrate strong organizational and prioritization skills.
• Requires a commitment to provide excellent service.
• Demonstrated ability to consistently meet department goals and standards for quality.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:

• The compensation range for this role is $43,200.00-$68,850.00 annually based on experience and qualifications.
