Business Development Manager

The Manager, Business Development is responsible for the establishment of strategic client partner relationships for Answer Financial. The purpose of the partnership is to generate customers for Answer's online and call center based national insurance agency with a product set that includes personal lines property & casualty products such as auto, homeowners and business insurance.

Answer is a 100% remote, work from home Company.

As a manager with Answer, you will possess competencies and leadership qualities needed to deliver on your responsibilities, helping to define the success of our Company, and set a foundation for the next level of your career. Identifiers will include competencies, experiences, drivers, and traits.

Responsibilities

  • Identify potential business partners and initiate contacts through use of sales and CRM tools such as LinkedIn Sales Navigator, HubSpot, Dun & Bradstreet and Hoovers
  • Assess target company’s current state and business needs and how Answer Financial can enhance their customer value proposition and improve their business results
  • Create and tailor pitch presentations and present to senior executives of prospective partners
  • Develop workable business models and lead negotiations with prospective partners
  • Document and present opportunities to senior leadership for approval
  • Attend and represent Answer Financial at trade shows and conferences
  • Document initial partner customer journeys and other details needed for strategic partnerships team to execute on the partnership
  • Coordinating resources with marketing and account management teams
  • 10+% travel time

Experience and Skills

  • 5 years direct experience in Business Development
  • A proven history of success in personal production of business-to-business relationships
  • Experience presenting to C-level executives at large organizations
  • Energetic and entrepreneurial approach and a strong attention to detail
  • A working knowledge of business services contracts
  • Working knowledge of sales CRM software such as HubSpot or Salesforce
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs
  • Insurance industry knowledge highly preferred
  • Success in developing multicultural business partnerships desired
  • Highly motivated, professional, confident, positive individual with strong interpersonal skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Education and Licensing

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Active P&C Resident State License preferred or ability to obtain within six months of hire

The annual compensation range for this role is $103,000 to $155,000 with additional bonus opportunities. Starting salary will be based on level of experience.
